It was a Saturday morning in November 2022, and we were excited to capture some beautiful shots in the garden’s stunning surroundings, but the weather had other plans. As soon as we arrived, the heavens opened, and heavy rain began to pour down upon us. Despite the unexpected deluge, however, everyone involved was in great spirits and determined to make the most of the situation.

Armed with umbrellas and good humor, we proceeded to capture some truly unique shots that we never could have planned for. The rain added an extra layer of texture and beauty to the photos, and our clients were happy to embrace the wet and wild atmosphere. We were also fortunate to have the whole garden to ourselves for 2.5 hours, thanks to Vizcaya’s Premium Sunrise Permit, which gave us the freedom to explore and experiment without any interruptions.

Despite the challenging weather, we all had a blast and laughed our way through the photoshoot, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We’re already looking forward to our next sunrise photoshoot (minus the rain, of course!), and we can’t wait to see what kind of magic we’ll capture next.”

As outdoor photographers in Miami, we know that the best photo season runs from October to May (though April is probably the safest bet!). However, we also know that not every photoshoot can be perfectly planned around the ideal weather conditions. During the rainy season, unpredictable rain showers and humidity can be the worst enemies of photo glamour, leaving clients with sweaty and sticky hair. But sometimes, you just have to roll with the punches and make the most of what you’ve got.

We’ve had the pleasure of photographing bridal sessions for many happy couples during the less-than-ideal season, and the results can be equally stunning! Take Mr. and Mrs. Zhu’s August photo session, for example. Despite the heat and humidity, their love shone through in every shot, and we had so much fun capturing their contagious joy.

We did a bridal photo session in August 2019 for a beautiful couple in Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. Summer is not considered a typical or ideal season for photo shoots because of the humidity, high temperatures and unpredictable weathers in South Florida. But we were able to pull it off for this traveling couple who only had a whole day in Miami.

We have done many bridal photo sessions at Vizcaya and we are always able to discover new inspirations shooting here. We hope you enjoying seeing photos from this session as well as any previous sessions.

Lately Vizcaya and Bill Baggs State Park has become popular combo locations for bridal photography. They are perfect for afternoon sessions especially in Miami’s “winter time” when the sun is soft and sets early. Following are selected photos from a mid-February bridal photo session. The bride is so beautiful and sweet. And the groom is simply a gentleman. Together they are a perfect couple!

We shot another beautiful couple in Vizcaya on New Year’s Day, 2017. They were such a fun couple to shoot, and photogenic! We truly enjoyed the photo session.

We recently did a bridal photo shoot in the formal outdoor gardens in the Vizcaya Museum for a lovely couple, whom traveled all the way from China to Miami for their holiday vacation. Despite the ongoing constructions in Vizcaya, we were still able to capture some fabulous moments and exciting memories for them to bring back to China. Below are some of our favorite picks from this photo shoot.

Shuang & Yang came all the way from Austin, TX to have their photos taken at the always beautiful Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park (the one on Key Biscayne with the gorgeous lighthouse) and breathtaking Vizcaya. Check out a few highlights from their sweet moments.
